M2 Hari Widi Utomo

今回は、M2のUtomoさんに自己紹介をお願いしました。

Ohayou Gozaimasu. My name is Hari Widi Utomo. Everybody calls me Utomo. I am from Banjarnegara, Central Java, Indonesia. I am a master student in IDEC Hiroshima University under Prof. Tatsuya Kusakabe as the supervisor and Prof. Yoko Ishida and Prof. Maki Takayoshi as the sub-advisors. I came to Japan on September 2016 together with my wife who is master student too and my little son who was in eight months pregnant.

I was graduated for my bachelor from Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto (UMP) on October 2011. I started as an English teacher in my previous elementary school (SDN 1 Adipasir, Banjarnegara) around 7 months.

On February 2012, I moved to a new private junior high school (SMPS Tasik Mas) which is located in Seruyan, Central Borneo, Indonesia around 5 months. The first time as teacher, I must teach 30 hours a week starting from grade seven to nine. At that moment, I successfully accompanied my students in grade nine for National Examination. All of them are successfully graduated “LULUS”.

Because of my best achievement, the school coordinator at that moment Mr. Paulus Wangga gave me a new responsibility to open new school (SMPS Eka Tjipta Kuayan) together with Mr. Agustinus Hari Taking from Flores, Indonesia (as school principal) and six other teachers. The location of the school is in the border of Kotawaringin Timur Regency which takes five hours from the capital regency reaching to the school.

Based on my experiences, I plan to research about Teacher Network Formulation in developing teacher professionalism in Indonesia. So, I decided the research topic entitled “A Study on Teacher Network Formulation in Lower Secondary School in Indonesia: Focused on Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java, Indonesia”.
Guided by Prof. Tatsuya Kusakabe, I am sure that I will get support, advice, and much information for succession of my study.
Finally, I wish my study also will be beneficial for educational field in Indonesia.
