IMG_6533I am Binita Pokharel. I was born and grown up in Nepal- a small and beautiful country of South Asia of the world. I completed my basic and elementary education of school level from my own home town and got my upper secondary level & undergraduate level education from Public Youth Campus-Kathmandu, one of the most popular constituent institute of Tribhuwan University (TU), and currently studying in Master Program in Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation (IDEC), Hiroshima University.

In the context of Nepal I was very interested to work in educational sector of Nepal. Fortunately, during my study on the undergraduate level, I got an opportunity to work in USA backed non-governmental educational institution in Nepal which was giving free and quality education to the disable and poor families’ children. During my 6 years of work and attachment in that organization, I got remarkable experience, and now I proudly can say, that was the first step of my career journey because it has enhanced my knowledge, interest and passion towards educational sector.

Amazingly, I have known in my heart since I was a little girl what I wanted to be when I grew up. It was not a stereotypical child’s dream such as a doctor or an astronaut; my vision was instead something that has shaped my actions and decisions throughout my life. In the last few years I have realized that my passion for working with poor and needy people in my country, to contribute quality education to strengthen their family situation in every manner by coordinating with national and international institutions and governments will be the only one aim of my life. For make my dream more possible I joined Hiroshima University to strengthen myself by getting quality education, in-depth research knowledge and national & international experience in the education sector.

Finally, I’m quite confidence that all the experiences, knowledge & skills, I learned and going to acquire from Hiroshima university will be an instrumental to achieve my goal.  As I have a passion of devoting my whole life and academic adventures in exploring the educational development of Nepal, I hope my study in IDEC, Hiroshima University will be a foundation stone in carving out Nepal’s inclusive and sustainable development model.

thank you.
